FAQ
How fast does the door locks after unlocking? Do I have to manually lock it after entering?
The Smart Door Lock always stays locked except for the moment it's unlocked for entering (after 5 seconds, it locks again). So, you do not have to manually lock the door after unlocking it for someone or entering yourself.
Can I disable the automatic lock feature?
This feature is part of the design and cannot be disabled via the app. However, you can manually turn on the Passage mode that sets the lock to remain in an unlocked state:
Press 3 on the lock's keypad to go to "System Setting."
Press 3 to select "Set Unlock Mode."
Press 1 to enable the Passage mode.
To reactivate the auto-lock function, go to "System Settings" again, press 3 to select "Set Unlock Mode," and scan your fingerprint once more.
What does the internal latch on the lock serve for? How does it work?
The latch allows you to lock the door from the inside, preventing access to everyone except Administrators. If a regular User tries to enter using any method (fingerprint, code, card), they will hear a voice prompt from the lock ("Locked Inside") and the lock will remain closed.
This latch does not affect opening the door from the inside. Additionally, whenever the door is opened from the inside, the lock announces "Release lock inside," and the latch automatically unlocks.
What will happen if the wrong passcode or a non-registered fingerprint/keycard is used 5 times in a row?
If someone uses the wrong passcode of a non-registered fingerprint/keycard 5 times in a row, the lock will automatically block for 5 minutes, and an app notification will be sent, indicating that action. After 5 minutes, the lock will automatically unblock (it will not unlock for entering, only the timeout will be over), and you can attempt to enter again.
During timeout, only the method that was used incorrectly gets blocked. This means that if you used the wrong fingerprint 5 times, the timeout will only be applied to the fingerprint entry, so you will still be able to use a passcode, card, or a mechanical key to unlock the door even during timeout.
The doorbell will continue to work in any case. If someone rings the doorbell you can use the app to end the timeout and unlock the door.
How can I reset the lock?
If you want to reset the system settings, press 3 on the lock's keypad to access "System Setting," then press 4 to reset.
How many fingerprints, key cards, and passcodes can be stored in the lock?
The lock can store:
100 passwords (5 Administrators, 95 Users)
100 fingerprints (10 Administrators, 90 Users)
100 cards (100 Users)
